Heteronotia binoei is a stunning species of fascinating parthenogenetic geckos. There are no males—only females—which live in small groups, hunt together, and lay eggs from which hatch young geckos that are genetically identical to their mothers. H. binoei is a fantastic species with which to begin a micro-adventure! These animals are very hardy, incredibly interesting to observe, super easy to care for, and their gregarious nature makes for spectacular interactions that will leave you gaping in awe. An interesting detail: at birth, their color is a deep burnt brown; as they grow, however, the shades change, and depending on their locality, they take on a color ranging from pale sand to pink. The locality I breed turns pink, just like in the photos below!
Two young ones born in October 2025, now subadults, are ready for adoption. Since they are social animals, I am not selling them individually for €70, but together for €120.
A couple babies recently hatched; more than ten eggs are already incubating, and the young will be available for adoption starting when they are two to three months old.
